We created a food garden system in our basement, can't get anymore local than this!
If you’re looking for a reason to start your indoor garden, maybe this will help.
Whenever we start our indoor garden setup, it’s usually close to winter season. Maybe you’re in a similar situation where it’s either too cold or too hot to garden outdoors, or you simply do not have the backyard space to grow. If that’s the case, indoor gardening is a great option
We installed an 8x8 grow in our basement and the kit includes a ventilation system and SF600 Grow lights which is the most essential part of growing food indoors. It’s important to have these if you want to have a successful indoor garden. They are designed to substitute natural sunlight, stimulating photosynthesis. With this set up from Spider Farmer, we controlled the environment inside the tent. This allowed us to grow our food anytime no matter the weather.
Below is the equipment we used to get started with indoor gardening.
Grow tent size: 8x8 Grow tent (You can get smaller size like a 2x4)
Grow light: SF600
This only consumes 74W of power which is highly efficient and saves on energy costs.
Sunlike full spectrum light with a 120° beam angle that ranges from red to blue to warm-white, making it perfect for plant germination, flowering, and fruiting.
Spider Farmer Plant Stand
Heavy duty 3 tier stand is great for seed starting and growing potted plants. It perfectly fits SF600 grow lights.
Fan: 4-Inch 205CFM Inline Fan
This is small for an 8x8 tent, but it still worked perfectly to control moisture buildup inside the tent. It also comes with the Carbon Filters which purifies and filters out molds, spores, dust, pollen, odors, and other harmful particles.

Drip Irrigation is a Time Saver - Never Have to Water the Garden Again!
Переглядів 7 тис.День тому
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watering the garden. But with the amount of food we grow now, it would take me half a day to water everything. So as a solution to save time and water, we installed a drip irrigation system. This way we can focus on other garden tasks, save time and reduce our water consumption. We’ve also noticed the plants growing much healthier with the consistent watering schedul...

Fruits Heaven
You're blessed with such beautiful garden. ❤
Very good
I always love your fam's indoor garden updates!
How do you keep larvae and bugs out of your fruit ? I thought cleaning and soaking my plums, oranges, etc. from my trees would help in some way (sorry new to this whole gardening thing)😅 but it didn't help because I was eating my orange one day and I found like a tiny yellow worm like bug eating inside 😬😭 definitely not a maggot because the fruit was fresh off the tree and it looked like a larvae I think it was... Anyways what does everyone do to grow vegetables and fruits and yet keep unwanted bugs 🐛 away ?? From Australia 🇦🇺 btw love ur vids 🫶🏽
I’m just thinking about the energy bill
Does growing hydroponic alter the flavor of the harvest?
What kind of plums are those? I've seen them before but am unsure of their name
Gardeners really loved bell peppers
You are blessed
гулларни гу́заллигинииииии!!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Thank you!🌻🐛🌿💚🙏💕👍
Great vid ,but I'm not gonna "follow along for more". I recommend you either make a full video or don't expect any extra following. Nobody got time for all that.
Is there a reason why you chose black containets instead of clear white ones (so you can see the water level)
I'm thinking of getting a twilight zone myself!!! So far so good? 😊
Excellent
You should try tayberries
Well.. if you have solar panels, its ok... i guess... luckily, our winter is very mild so... we can use a greenhouse. By the way... if you have fish, you may can consider doing an aquaponics system... we have one and its wonderful for lettuce and tomatoes
What was that bell flower?
I love this and I really need this but it's a bit pricy
How do you prevent mold?
Also having a batch of fresh organic meat scraps like lamb scraps, beef and fish scraps (fins, tails, entrails of the belly) and blending them and diluting like you did in water can work without bad smells by appliying the same day or the next and I’ve seen it work and recover plants from being weak by woody mulch touching their roots and worked into the soil
This is fantastic could you please share on telling us were you purchased this very large garden house? Keep up the great work thank you again 😊
Yes yes its are real treasure ❤❤😊💛⚜️❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful video👍👍
Love your videos, I feel like I am gardening
awesome tips! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful setup and amazing results! Which organic nutrient would you recommend for this type of setup? Looking forward to learning more!
Thank you!❤ I'm on it!....
Ôi mơ ước của mình có được vườn trái cây như vậy thật tuyệt
Heaven
The only squash I can't grow vertically is Seminole pumpkin as it sends out roots at every node to keep the vine healthy. But i grew tomatoes with onions, marigolds, mint and basil and i had zero pest problems in the tomatoes
So much power (energy) for just... But beautiful work.
Luv all your videos lets grow💪🏾🌲🙏🏾
That's brilliant! I was thinking I want a garden, but couldn't figure out how to not be wasteful growing for one person.
❤❤❤I love fruits
What climate are you in?
wow what a lovely garden.. ❤
You gagging lol
Does it work without a lid or a loose lid just placed on top? Thanks
wait.. youre planting this in CANADA?? or am i missing something?
😘👍🌍🙏😍💋🌹😁❤️🍽️😋
Do you have a full time job outside of gardening?
Now that’s what I call abundance
It's ny first time seeing purple chili 😮 how does it taste? Is it spicy or does it have sweetness flavour instead of spicy?😅
BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍, just Beautiful!! Wow
You make it look so easy.
Sweet setup! Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
